Internship: Summer or Fall

Purpose of Internship: 

Are you interested in being on the front lines of building out the digital health startup ecosystem here in Boston? If yes, this role is for you! The PULSE@MassChallenge Operations Intern will be focused on program operations aspect of the PULSE Digital Health Startup Accelerator. This internship is an exciting opportunity to work on the ground floor of a huge initiative and provide you with amazing access to startups and the world's best and most supportive startup resources - including top investors, corporate executives and more. 

With support from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, City of Boston, and countless other private organizations, PULSE is building upon the success of our main accelerator model in Boston targeting the healthcare sector. We focus on digital health startups that are ready to validate or scale their products and services and match them with both local and national healthcare organizations. 

PULSE@MassChallenge also serves as a Boston “hub” for healthcare startups and their collaborators. Through our role as community builders, we convene stakeholders throughout the ecosystem through events, programming and networking opportunities.  

PULSE@MassChallenge Primary Objectives & Context: 

  • Help patients and entrepreneurs win 
  • Promote innovation, collaboration and commercialization 
  • Identify the best digital health startups in the world for our program 
  • Support activities to convene the ecosystem and community 

 Main Responsibilities:  

  • Applications: You will be responsible for helping refine and execute our application outreach and promotion strategy for our 2018 program.  
  • Data AnalyticsYou’ll help us create success metrics for application season and work with us to ensure we are staying on target. 
  • Operations: You will collaborate with the entire team to prepare for and manage various PULSE@MassChallenge projects.  This includes relationship management, program management, alumni engagement and startup community events.  

Skills and background required: 

  • Organized and operationally focused with a high attention to detail and very strong ability to prioritize and manage time well. 
  • Excellent communication, speaking, and writing skills. 
  • Goal-oriented and self-motivated; hungry for success. 
  • Passion for our mantra and mission. You live and breath the PULSE@MassChallenge mantra, “We Help Patients and Entrepreneurs Win.” 
  • Ability to think creatively, developing fun, engaging and innovative strategies and ideas. 
  • Comfortable with latest technologies that help coordinate efforts.
